Our BLINDSTART Dragon Boat Race Team consisting of Blind and Deaf paddlers is proud to be the 1st American Adaptive Team to represent the USA at the Club Crew World Championships in Szeged, Hungary in July 2018! Together, we are making history, bringing positive change to the Blind and Deaf communities, and leaving a lasting legacy for future generations to come. Founded in 2006

BLINDSTART was founded in 2006 by Brian Tom, a visually impaired entrepreneur. He and his growing team of supporters offered the first blind/blind-folded mud run in 2009.

Always Aiming to be First

This year 2018, BLINDSTART will be the 1st American Team to compete in the Adaptive Paddler Crew devision at the International Dragon Boat Federation World Championships in Szeged, Hungary.
